My aim in life is to explore the world and its people, without fear or prejudice, and to broadly communicate what I learn through writing and visual media.
I was born and raised, proudly, in the Chicagoland area. I lived and worked there until 2008, filling roles in the real estate, financial trading, and education industries.
I then relocated to Los Angeles to complete an MFA in Film and Television Producing at USC. Afterwards, I worked as an independent producer, an entertainment finance executive, and a sports writer. Over time, I have written and/or produced five short films, three feature films, a television pilot, and a documentary music project.
A brief detour took me to Brooklyn, where I worked as the Director of Finance for my sister's incredible and expansive bakery business (www.Oven.ly), and where I completed writing my first book. Entitled The Crippler, it recounts the complex and emotional biography of UFC legend and wild man Chris Leben.
In 2016, I moved back to my beloved Los Angeles, where I continue to focus on creating enduring works of literature and film. Each chapter of my next book, The Trigger, explores the life of an individual who has shot someone in America. It is scheduled for release by Arcade Publishing on June 19, 2018.
